RTL followed Luxemburg’s amateur MMA fighter – José Teixeira on his road to winning the very first 4 men amateur Lightweight Tournament, April 7th at the RED LIONS FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS in Mondorf-les-bains 2018.

Two members of Team Streetsports and representing Team Luxemburg went to Lissbon, Portugal last weekend along with coach Miki Vujovic to compete at “UMMA Portugal” and both came back with another victory under their belts. While the freshly crowned Red Lions Fighting Championships amateur tournament winner at Lightweight, José Teixera finished his opponent Sergio Junior with yet another submission (RNC) in Round 1, Yann Liasse defeated Milton Maneus in the main event by decision in the welterweight division.
And speaking of Yann Liasse, here’s a video from his fight against Danilo CARDELLI from April 7th Red Lions Fighting Championships. We’re still waiting for all official videos to be released soon.
Last but not least there’s some interesting fights coming up with participants from Team Streetsport in the next couple of weeks. At the Belgian Open Amateur MMA event on May 5th in Charleroi, Nathalie Dupays will have a match against Malwina Golczak (Red Kings MMA) at Bantamweight and last but not least on the exact same date, Lucie Bertaud will make her Pro mma debut at Integra FC in Wittlich / Germany against Diana Felipe from Portugal for the IFC Bantamweight Title. After winning all their fights at April 7th Red Lions FIghting Championship, 2 athletes from Luxemburg (Team Streetsport) are heading to Portugal to fight at the “Unlimited Mixed Martial Arts Championships” – the official Portugal MMA open for amateurs.
While we have not yet the confirmed opponent for José Teixeira – winner of the 4 men tournament at RLFC , Yann Liasse will be the main event fighting in the Welterweight Division against Milton Mateus.
